What is the Greatest Legacy of the Martyred Leader?
One of the legacies of that martyred Imam is the upbringing of a nation and a civilization-building Ummah that is magnificent, anti-hegemonic, fearless—in a word, a generation of those who stand on the right side of history, which is the side of Truth.
According to the Public Relations of Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, Professor Najaf Lakzaee, the president of the academy, stated in a note: Forty days have passed since the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei. Our observations from the field to the streets—across Iran, the region, and the Islamic world—during these forty days reveal that one of the legacies of that martyred Imam is the cultivation of a nation and a civilization-building Ummah that is magnificent, brave, courteous, resilient, self-confident, anti-hegemonic, fearless, insightful, cohesive, enemy-recognizing, learned, action-oriented; in short, the upbringing of a generation standing on the right side of history—the side of Truth, reality, intellect, justice, knowledge, and insight.
It is a generation—or rather, generations—whose outlook on the world around them is civilizational. They perceive the conflict between pure Islam and the global hegemony as a civilizational one and know that the enemy’s fundamental fear stems from the civilizational approach of Pure Mohammadan Islam.
Today, we proudly witness the result of this civilizational upbringing in a “Great Victory.” The American-Zionist enemy failed to achieve any of its goals, and our beloved Iran and the Front [of Resistance] reached the summit that the martyred Imam had promised. Complete desperation can be seen in the faces and words of Trump and Netanyahu. The brutal aggression against Lebanon and the martyrdom of journalists, women, and children is nothing but a sign of despair and helplessness in the face of forty days and nights of resistance.
If we seek a historical analogy in Islamic history for these events, we must point to the Battle of Ahzab (The Trench) and the events that followed. The resistance of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and the Muslims led to the stabilization of the Islamic system and, subsequently, the “Manifest Victory” (Fath al-Mubin). Had there been no resistance in the Battle of Ahzab, there would have been no Manifest Victory.
This is the result of divine leadership, trust in God, and faith in the divine Ummah. It is the result of the cultivation of a civilizational and insightful nation and Ummah by the two Imams of the Islamic Revolution. How beautiful it is that this same perspective was prominently featured in the first message of our beloved leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei.
In that message, he applied the noble verse to the honorable nation of Iran: “Whichever miracle We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?”* He noted that after the martyrdom of the Leader, the nation rose with a divine awakening to safeguard the Islamic system.
We pledge to our martyred Leader:
O Leader! We remain faithful to the covenant we made with you. By following our beloved Leader, we continue our movement on the Divine Straight Path. By God’s power and might, we shall not rest until the banner of:
There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
flies over the entire world.
