Research Center for Qur’anic Sciences and Culture

The Research Center for Qur’anic Sciences and Culture (RCQSC) was established in 1988 under the title of “The Center for Qur’anic Culture and Knowledge and with aim of promotion of Qur’anic knowledge and culture as well as defending the legitimacy of its teachings. The research center has contributed greatly to advance the Qur’anic activities in Qom Seminary by having a novel view on the areas of Qur’anic interpretation, translation, and subjects. The Department for Exegesis of The Holy Quran. This research center has some duties such as providing Qur’anic resources and documents, classifying and organizing Qur’anic sciences, compiling various Qur’anic dictionaries and encyclopedias, creating various interpretations, answering questions and doubts, and identifying the shortcomings and needs in the arena of Qur’anic culture. The research center is known as one of the largest Qur’anic centers in Iran.
This center was upgraded to the Research Center for Qur’anic Sciences and Culture in 2016.

Mission

Objectives
1. Carrying out research on Qur’anic translation, interpretation, sciences
2. Solving society’s problems through give authority to the Qur’an
3. Solving problem and doing future studies (futurology) in the field of Qur’an Studies (Qur’anology)
4. Improving the methods of Qur’anic studies and using them in processes
5. Influencing and participating in national and macro Qur’anic policy making and planning
6. Examination and criticism of orientalist studies
